After a job Thomas had finished for Skiforeningen in Oslo, Thomas quickly stopped by the hotel that was right beside the location of the day. He went to the lobby, and basically asked to speak to the hotel manager. After a little while Nina Hilland, the manager of Scandic Holmenkollen Park Hotel came toward Thomas, and quickly they agreed on that the hotel could need some innovative artwork to give the hotel's existing hallways and reception a fresh look.
Quickly afterward, Thomas produced the result of that day's shoot together with a story behind the imagery to fit the room surrounding the hotel's reception perfectly. Soon afterwards, they also agreed on producing some of Thomas' existing artwork that was relevant to the hotel's location on large format to supplement the shots taken for Skiforeningen.
After the production, the hotel now loans different limited editions from Thomas' collection, and replaces them with new artwork from time to time as a kind of exhibition that regularly renews.
One of the prints produced originally for Scandic Holmenkollen is currently out on loan at Hasselblad's headquarter in Gothenburg.
